Gertrude Olson

Gertrude Olson, 85 went to be with the lord on Tuesday December 25th, in Denver, Co. Surrounded by her when she took her last breath  at 2:08 am was her Daughter Annelies  Shivley and two of her granddaughters Marilyn Shivley  and Kristina Shivley. You may come pay your respects on January 19th, opened house from 2- 6:00pm at 1876 s Fairfax  St. Denver, Co. 80222 Born in Vienna Austria in 1933 to her mother Maria Furtinger and her father Karl Furtinger. Gertrude Olson was survived by her sister Ingreid  Stadler, her brother Karl Furtinger , her daughters Annelies Shivley, and Marilyn Zowak, her grandchildren Marilyn Shivley , Kristina Shivley, Kaley Kirsten, Megan Kirsten and Braden Kirsten, and her great-grandchildren Damien Shivley, McKinley Shivley, Kaleb Shivley, and Sadie Kirsten. Gertrude Olson was proceeded in death by her parents Maria Furtinger  and Karl Furtinger as well as her sister Annelies Krouper.   Gertrude Olson was known for her authentic Austrian cooking and  crafts. Towards the end of her life Alzheimer's took over the woman we always knew but one thing she never stopped doing was loving and caring for people around her. Her smile could light up a room wherever she went. She will be deeply missed by many. RIP Omi, until we meet again.... We love you to the moon and back forever and always.
