Robert Wells, 88 years young, previously from Orange County, California and currently Castle Rock, Colorado passed away October 22, 2016. He battled cancer for eleven years and is now at peace.
He was a very loving husband to Beverly (Weick) Wells for 65 years of marriage. They were blessed with three sons, Donald, Kenneth, and Steven Wells, two great daughter-in-laws, Mary Wells, and Carolyn Wells, five wonderful grandsons and three great-grandchildren with one on the way.
He enlisted into the United States Air Corp (Air Force) on his 18th birthday during WWII, Her taught Radar for the F86 airplane at age 19.
Bob and Bev were married in 1951. He attended Pasadena City College and U.C.L.A. with a major in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. Bob was an engineer in this field for many years which evolved into Bio-Medical Engineer. He designed many medical devices and instruments including one for cardio-palegia which allowed patients to be at normal body temperature (they used to chill the body which put them into shock) and allowed he surgeon more time to operate)
Bob loved performing magic. Bev's students in her school named him "Mr. Magic" as they loved his magic shows. Another hobby was building and flying radio-controlled airplanes. He and his 3 sons all enjoyed this hobby together. He also built his own life-size gyrocopter in our garage and flew it. It was like a helicopter without an engine. It was airbone by towing it with a car.
He traveled many countries and experienced many things. He thought "outside the box" so life with Bob brought many different experiences into our lives.
Bob had a wonderful life. He was a very good, caring and devoted husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa.
He sure will be missed!
